Summary
An internal, staff memo sent from Ed Woods, Chairman and Manager of Kodak Australasia to all Kodak employees. It describes the case being put forward by Kodak for the grant of a Government bounty to support the continuation of Kodak manufacturing in Australia. Attached is an 8 page report by Will Fraser, Director and Manager of the Kodak Consumer Imaging Division, titled 'A Clearer Picture of Kodak's Factory Support Case'. This was originally prepared for Photo Forum Magazine.
Steve Brain worked as a production engineer for Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd for 25 years.
This document was donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
