Protecive red and yellow photograph and negative folder or envelope, produced by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd in a limited edition Golden Jubilee themed run for the 50th anniversary of the merger between Kodak Limted's Australasian business with Baker & Rouse's Austral Plate Company in 1908. Inside there is a promotional segment on Kodak films and explanatory text about the Golden Jubilee significance.
Donated by Brian Phillipson who worked with Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd for 36 years from 1955 to 1990. Brian worked in paper coating at Abbotsford, then Stores, after which he spent 22 years developing safe lighting technology for use in the darkened environment required for photographic product manufacture and finishing at the Coburg factory.
Donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Physical Description
Yellow cardboard folder printed in red and black ink. Cover and back pages feature a wreath and image of Australia with '50 years' written in its centre.
