Summary

A 36 page black and white promotional product brochure titled, 'Kodak Papers'. This is the first edition, published by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd in March 1953.

It was donated by Mr Roy Porter, who commenced his career at Kodak as a draftsman in the physics research laboratory, working on the practical side of improving machinery and processing. He invented a tubular processor, for dramatically increasing the speed of making enlargements of colour prints. Kodak bought the patent from him and developed the machine for large scale processing. Roy moved to the packaging department, ending his career as packaging design manager in 1979.

This document was donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Black and white A5 format paper brochure, 36 pages, two staples along the spine. On the cover is a black and white photo of a baby in a necklace, white nappy and white socks and shoes. In the top left corner is a small yellow panel with a cartoon logo of a man in a suit looking at frames.
