Summary

A poster featuring 4 photographs of the Kodak Australasia Warehouse on North Terrace, Adelaide, specifically the car park and signage. Some of the photographs are marked up with letters that correspond to an accompanying list of Kodak retail signage, which records the dimensions, location, and colour of signs depicted in the photographs. This is one of two posters that refer back to this list.

This poster is one of nineteen handmade posters featuring street views and close ups of signage at different Kodak Australasia retail outlets and warehouses around Australia, including Adelaide, Launceston, Hobart, Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Perth, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This poster is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
