Summary

Scrapbook compiled by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd containing poster size (approximately A3) colour advertising proofs for Kodak consumer products. This marketing material was aimed at amateur photographers. Products include the Instamatic range, particularly the Instamatic 133, 233 and Instamatic-X series. These products were launched circa 1968, and were sold into the 1970s.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

Large green scrapbook with 'crocodile skin' patterned cardboard front cover bound with green canvas tape along the spine. The scrapbook contains large, folded paper-based advertising proofs sticky-taped to the green pages. Some posters are stored loose inside the scrapbook. Most pages are blank.
