Summary

Coloured lantern slide featuring an advertisement for the Alfred Hospital fundraiser fete 'Colourland', held in the 1920s (1923 - 1927). Titled 'Come to Colourland' the slide has coloured text and an image of women in multicoloured fairy costumes. Entrance to the event was by 1 shilling 'lucky button', and the event was held on December 8 - 10. Slide prepared by T W Cameron, Slide Specialist, 430 Bourke St Melbourne.

This image is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
