Ruston & Hornsby, later known as Ruston, was an industrial equipment manufacturer in Lincoln, England, the company's history going back to 1840. The company is best known as a manufacturer of narrow and standard gauge diesel locomotives and steam shovels.

Description of Content
Two men standing on the platform of a crawler-mounted Pearsons No.10 dragline excavator, one of the men appears to be operating levers. Visible on the platform are gears, cables and drums. At the end of the boom is the bucket, it appears to be empty. In the background is a large brick industrial building with a row of metal structures running along it.
