Summary

Alternative name: Badges

11 Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd promotional lapel pins, mounted and framed. These were collected by former Kodak employee Brian Flynn. The badges are for events such as Kodak Quality Day 1996 and 1999, Kodak Centennial Olympic Games Atlanta 1996, Coburg's centenary, 'Picture the Kodak Millenium', and product promotions for Ektacolor Paper and the Kodak Writable CD. The lapels promoted pride in the work that employees did.

Brian Flynn worked in Kodak Australasia's Emulsion Department for 17 years until the Coburg factory was closed in 2004. An oral history was conducted in 2014 with Brian about his working life at Kodak.

This object complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
