Summary

An original telegram from Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, to Kodak Australasia employee Pat Hogan at Kodak Coburg, congratulating him for 40 years service. The telegram is dated February 25, 1981, and was was forwarded to Pat by Noel Monteith. The telegram is stapled to an original memo dated February 26, 1981 (one day later).

This document complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

Rectangular telegram on lightweight paper, printed with red and blue ink. It is stapled to the back of an A5 page memorandum, printed on Kodak letterhead and signed in blue ink.
