Summary

Letter from George Eastman, Director of Eastman Kodak Company, to Thomas Baker, Managing Director of Kodak Australasia Limited, dated 18 December 1913. Eastman discusses the following subjects: purchasing of property in Melbourne, Mr Gaumont successfully exhibiting colour photography in the Paris Hippodrome, a legal case 'The Goodwin Suit', the new sixteen storey building at Kodak Park, and his upcoming Christmas party, for which he is building two pavilions (a dance and a supper pavilion) attached to his house, to be decorated electrically. He expects 800 guests.

This is one of 29 letters in an incomplete series of communications between Eastman and Baker.

This object is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
