The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that in 1968 almost half of the manufacturing workforce was employed in the metals and engineering industry and this type of educational booklet shows the options available for trade, semi-professional and professional roles in the engineering workforce.
The booklet was published by Nelson Doubleday (Australia) Pty Ltd, with the assistance of the Petroleum Information Bureau (Australia).
