Summary
Polyester cast of Peter's fist used in Sharon Collin's 'Illuminated by Fire'; an artwork composed of 300 cast fists of Flowerdale residents to celebrate rebuilding after the 2009 Victorian bushfires. The work was on display in Federation Square in 2011.
Part of a collection that documents the life of Peter Auty, illustrating his colourful and interesting life, and why he was well loved by his community, recognized in the Victorian Parliament, and awarded two medals posthumously for the important role he played on and following Black Saturday.
