Summary

Black and white photograph of one wall of the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd exhibition display stand at the Sydney Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) Easter Show, 1948. There are five display cases sunk into the walls with photographic backgrounds and products laid out inside. Above these are framed photographs of various Kodak products. The text at the top of the display panels reads: 'Kodak Films Plates Sensitised Papers', 'Kodascope' and 'Kodachrome'. There is a service counter at the back with a metal guard rail.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
