Summary

Bundle of 10 un-used, flat pack boxes for Kodak Gold Bright Sun & Flash film cartridges in Thai script. The boxes were designed to hold a single Kodak Gold 200 film cartridge (36 exposures, 35mm color print film, 200 speed).

The boxes were manufactured for Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd, who would then package the finished film in the Coburg factory.

These boxes, manufactured circa 2002 - 2005, are excess, un-used stock items from the end of manufacturing at Kodak Australasia.These products are part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

10 colour cardboard boxes printed in a yellow, red, and pink colour scheme with a photograph on the front of a young girl hugging a teddy bear toy. There are perforations on the reverse for opening. The boxes were originally tied together with a brown rubber band.
