This is one of a collection of fourteen photographs, mounted on cardboard album pages with captions, of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd's retail store on Hay Street, Perth. These images are part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Description of Content

Hallway with lineoleum floor and curved wood veneer walls with frosted glass windows concealing office spaces. There is photographic lighting and camera equipment in the right foreground and a long hallway leading to a door at the rear with promotional Kodak posters on it. Above the hallway is a sign reading: 'WHOLESALE DEPARTMENT / and PLAZA ARCADE'
