Summary
Three forms issued by the Commonwealth of Australia for 'Aliens entering Australia in Overseas Vessel or Aircraft'. The forms have been filled in by Samuel Gung for his wife, Mary, and two children Jeff and Phyllis. The arrived on Melbourne from Hong Kong on board Shausi on the 28 July 1946.
Samuel was born in Carlton in 1920 to Chinese parents. At a young age he travelled to China with his family where he remained to finish his education and marry. In 1947 he returned to Melbourne with his wife and two children. He worked with his father at the Geraldton Fruit Company, and had four more children in Australia.
