Summary
Hand-written poem 'The Soldier's Legacy' that belonged to Miss Elsie Storie of Brunswick, later of Canterbury, a young woman during World War I. Its author is unknown. Elsie lost several soldier friends in the war.
Part of a collection of paper-based ephemera relating to the life of Miss Elsie Storie, a middle-class Melbourne woman who was born around 1895, lived through both wars, and remained in Melbourne all her life.
