Summary

Kodak branded folder for photographic negatives, produced by Kodak Australasia Limited between 1911 and 1920. The folder features a nostalgic, soft-focused, Pictorialist style image of a woman in a draped gown holding a Kodak folding camera. Inside, the folder explains the quality of Kodak film and promotes their enlargement services. The catch phrase 'If it isn't Eastman, it isn't Kodak film' is used to stress brand integrity and quality. There is an order number handwritten on the cover.

This object is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
