Two Commonwealth Service Car drivers and other officials at the hand over ceremony of an Austin Princess car, which was loaned to the Service by Nuffields to drive the Duke of Edinburgh around Australia during his visit in 1956, primarily to officially open the Olympics Games at the MCG.

This photograph was part of a collection of images documenting the career of Colin Trinnick, a driver with the Melbourne office of Commonwealth Car Service from 1950 until 1979. He is pictured second from the right.

As a senior staff member in Melbourne, he was one of two drivers given the task of transporting the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Phillip around Melbourne and country Victoria during late November and early December, 1956.
