Summary

Paper sign from Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd's Promotions and Exhibitions division reading 'Please Don't Ruin These Prints! Damaged Mounts Cannot Be Repaired' with an illustration of how to adhere pins to the mounting boards.

These instructive signs were placed inside travelling cases of 'Kodak Presentations' or Kodak photographic exhibitions. This one was taken from the photographic poster series by photographer Jeff Carter, titled 'The Life & Land of Central Australia', which toured locally and internationally circa 1967. The posters were housed in travelling cases with labels, original packing materials and handling instructions.

This sign is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
