George Eastman Medallion awarded to former Health Imaging manager Elizabeth (Liz) Delahunty circa 1990s.
This object was donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Physical Description
Circular silver medallion encased in clear plastic resin. Medallion features intaglio portrait of George Eastman with the box brownie camera and photographic prints, with text on reverse. It was originally housed in a blue velvet case in a white cardboard box, with a small card slipped inside the case detailing the history of Eastman and the Kodak company.
Obverse Description
Relief portrait of man in glasses and suit, with box camera and photographic prints to his right.
Reverse Description
Kodak 'K' logo and quote from George Eastman in italic font.
