Summary
This patriotic handkerchief was produced in the United Kingdom during World War II. It commemorates the the Royal Air Force's involvement in Battle of Britain, an a four month mission to protect Britain from German aerial attacks, during 1940.
It belonged to Emily Hannah Francis, of Garden City, and was part of a collection of 145 souvenir and commemorative handkerchiefs put together by Emily, sent to her by pen friends from around the world, up to her death in 1943.
