Summary
This patriotic handkerchief was produced in the USA during World War II. It commemorates the Phillipines Campaign, where American and Philippine troops fought and expelled the Japanese forces from the Philippines in 1945.
It belonged to Emily Hannah Francis, of Garden City, and was part of a collection of 145 souvenir and commemorative handkerchiefs put together by Emily, sent to her by pen friends from around the world, up to the 1950s.
