Summary
Postcard featuring a portrait of Private William (Bill) Nairn, sent to his sister Sarah Jackson from London on 3 February 1918, during World War I. He writes reassuringly 'Do not worry Dear Sister keep a brave heart all will be well soon with Gods help'. He was killed in action five months later in the trenches of France.
This photograph was reproduced in The Advocate newspaper 28 September 1918, p. 23.
