Summary

Postcard featuring photograph of two men in a studio, signed 'Will & Dave' - probably William (aka Bill) John Nairn and his brother David Mackie Nairn, around 1910-1916. Will sailed for overseas with the AIF in late 1916 and was killed in France in July 1918, late in World War I.

Dave is probably on the left, and Will on the right, standing.

Physical Description

Postcard featuring photograph of two men in a studio, one seated, with other standing with a hand on the seated man's shoulder and another on a table. Both wear three-piece suits, ties and fob chains. The background depicts details of classical architecture. The photograph is oval-shaped against a white background, now stained. The back is printed with a postcard proforma and has a brief hand-written inscription. It is extensively stained.
