Death notice placed in an unknown Victorian newspaper by Sarah Jackson in memory of her mother Mary Nairn. Mary died on 27 August 1920. Her beloved son William Nairn had been killed two years earlier, in the trenches of World War I.
This verse was often used by bereaved family members in Australian newspapers around this time.
