Summary

This handkerchief in pale yellow cotton features a floral lace panel and embroidered floral garland in one corner.

It belonged to Emily Hannah Francis, of Garden City, and was part of a collection of 145 souvenir and commemorative handkerchiefs put together by Emily, sent to her by pen friends from around the world, up to her death in 1943.

Fine pale yellow cotton handkerchief with finished edge. One corner features a lace panel in a star/flower shape. Beneath that is an embroidered floral garland in purple, orange, pale yellow and green silk thread.
