Summary
Colour digital photograph of a piece of warehouse equipment called a 'Roll Up-Ender' in the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory, Coburg, 30 November 2004. The 'Roll Up-Ender' flipped un-coated rolls of paper on their side so they could be loaded onto a spiked forklift which would then lay the rolls on a flatbed tray for transporation to the unwinder and coating track. It was a device to safely move and turn large objects and it was equipment like this which enabled the large-scale manufacture of Kodak papers and products.
This image was taken by an employee, close to the time of closure of the plant in 2004-2005, as a memento of their time working for the company.
