BS 2 Single electric blanket made by Hecla in Australia circa 1970s. It was sold with a two-year guarantee to emphasise its quality.
This item is relates to the Hecla collection, which comprises over 700 items of mainly domestic electric appliances as well as photographs and documents relating to the company. Hecla ceased manufacturing in Melbourne in the 1980s but the brand name was retained and was licensed to importers of overseas made domestic appliances such as electric kettles, toaster and vacuum cleaners.
