Summary
Kaapa Tjampitjinpa, Tim Leura Tjapaltjarri and Dinny Nolan Tjampitjinpa (L-R) photographed whilst singing at Papunya in 1977. The photographer, the Serbian-Australian author B. Wongar, was taken to a location on the north eastern edge of Papunya Settlement where they agreed to sing for Wongar's tape recorder. The song being sung concerns a travelling snake named Tjampali that travelled from Winparrku (Blanches Tower) to Ngama (near Yuendumu) and crossed paths with a 'Lame' Emu and a flock of emus going from Rukiri.
