Wooden paper knife, sold as a souvenir at the Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition by M. L Hutchinson's. On one side of the paper knife is a paper label with postal rate information for the colonies and to the United Kingdom. This information flanks two scenic vignettes, one of an Aboriginal person standing outside a grass hut, the other a majestic exhibition building. On the other side of the paper knife is an advertising label for M. L Hutchinson's Glasgow Book Warehouse, agent for 'Coutt's Acetic Acid', 'Fancy Goods and Novelties', 'Bibles, Books, Magazines', etc.
