Summary
Black and white photograph of the breaking room on the 3rd floor of Building 2, Emulsion Department, at the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory, Coburg circa 1963. The breaking room houses the air removal machine which is fed by the cans which are placed on a horizontal roller conveyor. The broken emulsion is delivered into a dumper truck and the empty cans are despatched on the lowerator to the can washing room on the 2nd floor.
Part of a photographic album produced by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd, Coburg, containing approximately 70 black and white 8 x 10 inch photographic prints of the Emulsion Department; plans of the plant; colour photographs of the Emulsion Department management staff and Development and Production Supervision staff.
The album belonged to Ian 'Charlie' Yelland, who worked for Kodak Australasia Emulsion Department for 46 years, retiring in 1978.
