Summary

Black and white photograph of the gear pump assembly in the west wing of Building 2, Emulsion Department, at the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory, Coburg circa 1963. The kettles containing the melted emulsion are held in the pass-through hatches and are connected by plastic feed lines to the gear pumps. The delivery from the gear pumps is through similar feed lines which pass along channels in the floor and up to the coating head. This photograph was accompanied by a typed information sheet describing the function of the room and the equipment used.

Part of a photographic album produced by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd, Coburg, containing approximately 70 black and white 8 x 10 inch photographic prints of the Emulsion Department; plans of the plant; colour photographs of the Emulsion Department management staff and Development and Production Supervision staff.

The album belonged to Ian 'Charlie' Yelland, who worked for Kodak Australasia Emulsion Department for 46 years, retiring in 1978.
