Envelope with one1d. orange- red and one 3d. dark blue Victoria stamps.The orange-red stamp was issued Feb. 1854. Addressed to Mr Meethow [?] Esq, Heatherboard Station, Lower Leigh [Geelong], Victoria.

H.W. Johnston has noted that the imperforate stamps were lithographed by Messrs J. S. Campbell & Co. of Melbourne from transfers made from Ham's original die.

Half-length Portrait Series. with outer frame lines. Stamps 2 to 3 mm. apart. Retouched border.

Physical Description

White coloured envelope with one dark blue and one orange-red stamp affixed to upper right corner. Stamps bear a portrait of Queen Victoria. The envelope is dirty.
