Physical Description
Two conjoining, but not physically conjoined body-base fragments of a thick whiteware storage vessel. Blue hand painted scroll border around the base on the body, under glaze and possibly slightly flown. Remnant hand painted scene over glaze on body, image of a seated man, and a standing person, polychrome design with black outlines of the people and brown background shading. Possibly for storage of products other than food.
