Edgar Rouse started his career at Kodak in 1918, became a managing director of Kodak Australasia in 1928, and later succeeded his father John Joseph (JJ) Rouse who died in 1938. JJ Rouse was a co-founder of Baker & Rouse and then a founding managing director of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd.
