Summary

Edgar Rouse, Managing Director of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd, with his driver, Gus, circa 1960s. They are standing next to a parked car on Southampton Crescent in Abbotsford near the Kodak factory.

The Rouse family recollects that Edgar's driver played an important part in both his working and home life, where the driver would sometimes complete domestic tasks and errands for the family. Edgar's grandchildren remember the 'grey coat' of his driver.

Edgar Rouse was a managing director of Kodak Australasia from 1928, and later succeeded his father John Joseph (JJ) Rouse in 1938, who was a co-founder of Baker & Rouse and then a founding managing director of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd.
