Summary
A colour 35mm slide transparency featuring a cupboard full of testing equipment in the instrument workshop in Building 12A of the Kodak Australasia factory in Coburg, 1972.
Part of a collection of 40 colour 35mm slides depicting the Kodak engineering laboratory, scientific instruments and control panels, staff working in the factory, exterior views and the 1977 Kodak raft race. The collection was photographed between 1965 and 1981 by former Kodak engineer Ron Salter, and later donated by him to Museum Victoria.
Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
