John O'Meara worked in the Finance Department at the Coburg Head Office. He started at Kodak in the late 1970s / early 1980s. In 1984 he acted as manager of the Austral Credit Union in the then manager Kevin Rose's stead for six months while the latter was on long service leave. John was later Manager of Taxation and Insurance at Kodak until 1990.

One of 48 black and white photographs depicting Kodak executive staff members from Kodak Australasia and Eastman Kodak. Images include studio and workplace portraits, and events held at the Kodak factory in Coburg.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
