Summary

Tab from a Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd customer film processing bag, circa 1961-1989. The bag would have been used to post film to Kodak Australasia, Coburg for developing and printing.

This particular tab was sent by a Kodak staff member, likely in internal mail. One side of the tab shows a space for affixing a stamp and the other has hand written text stating that it was sent from Peter Hunter, Sales Service Manager, Building 8, Kodak, Coburg.

This product is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
