Summary

A programme and menu for a dinner hosted by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd to celebrate the retirement of Mr R.J Mitchell. The dinner was held at The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne on 14th September 1959. The programme features a colour portrait of Mr Mitchell on the front cover and cartoons representing various points in Mr Mitchell's life and career on the back cover.

Held loosely in the programme was a black and white photograph of a serviceman feeding pigeons.

This document is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
