Summary
Hand written letter from friend Mrs Ella Barnett, located in Nice, France to Mr John Joseph (JJ) Rouse, 29th March 1934. The letter tells of the death of the author's husband, the famed portrait photographer Henry Walter Barnett. Mrs Barnett mentions that Henry Barnett had much affection for Mr and Mrs Rouse.
The Baker & Rouse Pty Ltd company was set up by Thomas Baker who operated in partnership with John (JJ) Rouse. The company merged with Kodak in 1908, with Kodak greatly expanding the original Austral Abbotsford factory over subsequent decades.
