Summary
Aunty Eileen's son Gordon had an accident when small and needed plastic surgery. My Aunt went on to raise funds for much needed hospital equipment by selling pickled onions. She sold pickled onions everywhere. In fact Bob Skilton [South Melbourne footballer] used to come around on Saturday mornings to pick up some pickled onions. Eileen was a medallion holder for the South Melbourne football club [VFL]. She was a very keen South Melbourne supporter. In recognition of her services to Prince Henry's Hospital she was presented with this certificate. [Bill Hunter 23 Dec 2014]
