Fifty Cent 2017 Pride & Passion, Australia, 2017 AD
Mint: Royal Australian Mint, Canberra

An uncirculated example of a commemorative coin inserted into a First Day Cover for the $1 1967 Referendum commemorative stamp; 24 May 2017. Stamp Design: Rachael Sarra, a Goreng Goreng woman and senior designer at Gilimbaa, an Indigenous design agency based in Brisbane. Released in the lead up to Reconciliation Week and National Sorry Day 2017, it was limited to 7,500 issues.

The coin commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Referendum that acknowledged indigenous Australian in the census and the 25th anniversary of Eddie Mabo's 1992 land rights Case win. It features the Aboriginal and Torres Strait flags, a Yes campaign poster and a face forward portrait of Eddie Mabo, an unusual choice for a coin. It was designed by contemporary artist Boneta-Marie Mabo, the granddaughter of Eddie Mabo.

The stamp also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Referendum and features two stylised fingerprints merging into one in the design of an indigenous dot painting, overlaid with the word YES and with a stamp stating, "Count us together, make us one people".
