Summary
Colour photograph of a male worker seated at the controls of the P-231 computer controlled emulsion making machine located in Building 2 of the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory at Coburg, February 1993. The P-231 machine became standard in every Kodak manufacturing plant worldwide so the formulas could be transmitted electronically. This image was taken by Kodak staff member Don Pitkethly and printed for display at the Waverley City Gallery but was possibly never exhibited.
This photograph complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
