Summary
The painting is the artist's mother's story. The imagery here represents geckos and beetles and has a band of crosshatching in between that represents a log. Geckos come inside bark shelters at night to catch insects and make a high-pitched noise as they run across the roof. If caught, their tails break off and the geckos escape. The tails can also be seen in this work.
