Summary
The elongated shapes in the painting represent guluwirri, the sacred palm tree, and in the centre is djarrka, a water monitor. The broken lines around the freshwater lizard represent flowing water running through roots of these palms. It is a segment in the larger epic story of the Wagilag Sisters and the sacred waterhole at Mirarrmina.
