Summary
Woman assembling Kodak Instamatic cameras in the Camera, Reels & Sundries Department in Building 15 at Kodak Australasia's Coburg factory, circa 1960s.
Colour slide from the Kodak Lecture Service series titled 'A Look at Kodak Coburg Australia'. This series should contain 80 slides in total but this set is missing four - slides 19, 40, 66 and 78. This particular slide is number 47 in the series and shows a woman in a camera assembly production line. Each of the operators checks the work of the previous operator before performing their part of the assembly. To provide variety, the operators rotate through the different tasks every few days.
This object is part of the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
