Physical Description
A twined conical basket made from pandanus with close weave and painted with natural pigments. The body of the basket is decorated with a background of stripes of red and yellow ochre and white pipe clay overpainted with large red 'dots'. Remnants of the multistrand vegetable fibre string handle are attached to the rim at the back of the basket, and string is stitched around the rim using a blanket stitch.
