Summary

Employment contract between Beryl Adams and the London based department store Marshall and Snelgrove. The contract states that employment began on 9 October 1967, and was for a working week of 42 hours. Beryl Adams chose to work for a short time while she was on holiday in the UK visiting family. Beryl Adams came to Australia as an assisted migrant from England on the Orient Line SS Oronsay in 1959. She then travelled back to England to visit family in 1967 on the SS Arcadia, and returned to Australia in 1968 on the SS Oriana.
